Goldie is a seven year old tortishshell cat that is a little unsure about finding herself with us. She can be a bit independent and may be shy at first. She'll do best in an adult only home, or one with dog savvy older children.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Goldie. She has a shy but sweet nature and longs to feel safe. She has an independent nature and appreciates having alone time every now and then to reflect on things past. She has beautiful eyes that examine and tell a story. She finds the world to be a generally scary place but she finds comfort in her family and reserves her affections for them. Goldie would do best as an only-cat in a quiet, calm, and peaceful home with adults or teens. Show Goldie that the world isn't such a scary place! You can visit with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption time ends at 6:30 on Sunday-Wednesday and at 8:30 on Thursday-Saturday.

Goldie’s adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
