The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Gizmo. He is shy, yet charming two year old Shiba Inu mix that is searching for patient owner with relaxed a lifestyle and enough patience to guide him and help him come out of his shell. He is quite nervous with new people and new places, but once he gets to spend some time with you it’s easier for him to show you how much he loves people.  He would like to spend his time with older children who can be patient with him and know that he doesn’t want to be fussed with a lot; it takes him quite a while before he is ready to play. Once he is all settled in he will be able to show you all of his amazing qualities. He came from the Siskiyou Humane Society through our Second Chance Program. You can meet with Gizmo at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption time ends one half hour prior to closing each day.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption.
