The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Fiona (shelter #92543). She is a almost four year old Labrador who has a great personality and is looking for a new home to call her own. Fiona is very intelligent, active and wants to please her people. She will do anything to get your attention and tries very hard to win your approval. She is definitely people oriented and loves being the center of attention. We found out that Fiona will need lots of daily exercise, such as swimming, jogging or running. She absolutely loves to swim. She also needs some training, as she acts like a big puppy. Fiona has been known to try and go on adventures by herself, by jumping fences, so for that reason she will need to be supervised when outdoors. She can be picky about her dog friends and may do best as the only dog in her new home. She would do best in a home with older children due to escape issues, and her needing some manners training. You can meet with Fiona at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Monday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday- Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.
Fiona's adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
