The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Filbert. He is a lovely two year old gentleman with luxurious long hair who would love to find a quiet home. He can be shy at first but he is quite sweet once is has acclimated to his new environment. He is lovey with his favorite people and his greatest past times include gazing out windows and amusing himself with play. Filbert may do best in a home with adults or one with older, respectful children. He is currently living in Petty’s Playhouse with other cats and seems to be doing okay; but he could enjoy being the only kitty and enjoy getting all of the attention!

Filbert’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Our special offer of adopting any adult cat or kitten and take home a second cat or kitten FREE!  has been extended indefinitely. You can make a pair of cats happy! OHS is stocked with lots of kittens and adult cats who all need wonderful homes. You can meet with them at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat.  Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

Every Tuesday the Oregon Humane Society offers an adoption special for people age 60 and up. A select group of 15 pets will be available for adoption to seniors at no charge every Tuesday. All other pets will have their adoption fees reduced by $50 when they are adopted by individuals over 60 on Tuesday.
