The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Figgy Peepers. She is a beautiful lady who is looking for a warm and loving home to call her own. She is very sweet and affectionate and especially likes to sleep on the bed and have her belly rubbed. She has a mixed history living with cats, and her previous owner recommends that either she go to a home without other felines, or with an older mellow kitty and/or mellow dog. Figgy will likely make a great companion for any age group, however she may prefer a home with children who have experience with cats and can respect her need for the occasional quiet time. Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.
Kittens are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. At this location they all live in “colony rooms” with their fellow felines. If you want know if your potential new doggie best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility. Visiting and adoption hours for both kittens and dogs are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.
