The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Franklin (120715). He is a shy two year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who takes the slow lane in life and enjoys sipping his water instead of lapping it all up quickly. He will need a home that can be patient with him and help him adjust to his new surroundings with support and encouragement. An adult only home is best for Franklin as lots of activity and energy makes him shy back into his shell like a turtle. Franklin enjoys being close to you and will want to be a part of what you are doing while he becomes a member of the home. He will make a great lap companion and be more than willing to join you on the couch or in bed whenever he gets the chance. Franklin can't wait to be a part of something special. A training consultation is included prior to his adoption. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday to Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday to Saturday. Adoption hours end one half prior to closing each day.
His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
