The Oregon Humane Society's Cat of the Day is Fanny (shelter # 128141). She is a lovely, older feline who is looking for a quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. When she feels comfortable, Fanny is known to be quite the lap cat: she purrs, kneads, and gives delightful headbutts to show her gratitude. Fanny has not had previous experience with children, so introductions should be made very cautiously, and she will need to go to a home that is calm and not too noisy. She did live with another feline in her last home, but she seemed to have mixed feelings about the other cat. Overall, Fanny is a friendly lady who loves napping on the couch, and needs someone who will help her shed a few of those extra pounds. Do you have room in your heart for Fanny as your new best friend? You can meet Fanny at the Oregon Humane Societiy, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday.

Fanny's adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
