The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Eli (94160) He is a happy, active 10 month old Border Collie mix who likes to keep busy. He likes to chase balls but is still learning how to bring them all the way back to you. He knows sit, stay, leave it, down and off. Eli seems very smart and loves to learn new things. He has started to be crate trained and will need a little more work with this. He does not do well with small dogs as he plays too rough with them and they do not like it. Eli will need an adult only home that can teach him to share his toys and food. He will also need a cat free home as he thinks it's fune to chase them as he sees them as a toy. A training consult is included with his adoption to help him adjust into his new home easier. Eli has the potential to become a loving pet and a with your help and patience a well mannered canine citizen. You can visit with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722) www.oregonhumane.org. His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Avability is subject to prior adoption.
