The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Eddie (117584) is a shy one year old Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier mix that would appreciate going to a quiet home with plenty of patience when it comes to teaching him to come out of his shell. He can be a bit of a nervous nelly when he is not around another dog, and would probably do best if he has another sibling to teach him the ways of the ways of being a pamperd pet. Eddie came to us from the Klamath Falls Shelter where he was found as a stray so we don't know about his background. Occasionally he can be a bit vocal when he encounters something scary but most of the time Eddie is eager to please and be your friend. Older children are preferred for Eddie since he is very shy about being handled too quickly or if his environment is too fast paced for him. Eddie will blossom into a lovely dog given the right amount of time and space. You can visit with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). We are open from 10 am to 7 pm Sunday through Wednesday and from 10 am to 9 pm Thursday throught Saturday.
His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
