Dusty is a very handsome fellow who will be a bit shy at first. He's had a poor experience with children who were too rough with him, so needs an adult home, or one with older cat savvy children who will be gentle with him. Come meet him today at the Oregon Humane Society!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Dusty. He is a sweet two year old snowshoe boy who is a little overwhelmed with shelter life at the moment. It is obvious that he wants to trust people, and once you give him a little time his true personality shines through. He loves giving you gentle head butts and loves chin scratches. In Dusty's previous home he enjoyed playing with a laser pointer and playing hide and seek. Dusty has lived with children before but they were a little too rough with him, so he may prefer a quieter home with only adults or older cat savvy kids. You can be the one to give Dusty the loving home he is craving. Come meet him today. His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Come meet Dusty at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

Adopt any adult cat or kitten and take home a second cat or kitten FREE! Due to popular demand, this offer has been extended indefinitely. The Oregon Humane Society is stocked with lots of kittens and adult cats who all need wonderful homes.

Kittens are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside at Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. They all live in “colony rooms” with their fellow felines. Dogs are also available at the Westside Adoption Center.  If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility.  Visiting and adoption hours for both kittens and dogs are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.
