Duke (shelter #59052) is the Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day. This handsome, strapping gentleman is a happy and sweet older German Shepherd mix who enjoys his treats. He tends to bond closely with his people and wants to be wherever they are, but he may be reserved and vocal with newcomers. Duke will need daily walks so that he remains healthy in his elder years. He would prefer a quieter home with older children that are able respect his space. Duke has little history with other dogs so a pet meet is required prior to adoption. You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722.Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption
