Dawson a handsome long haired kitty who loves brushing and belly rubs. We don't know about his background with children or other animals. Bring your family to meet him at the Oregon Humane Society.

The Oregon Humane Socieyt's Cat of the Day is Dawson (shelter #139504). He is a sweet three three year fellow searching for his forever home. It is unclear what his previous living situation was like as Dawson came to us from another shelter. For this reason we recommend making any new introductions slowly whether that be with small children or other pets. Dawson loves affection from people and gives plenty of headbutts in return. Being brushed is one of his favorite hobbies and he'll even roll on his back for belly rubs once he's feeling at ease. He has tested as HIV+ and must be an indoor only kitty only and also the only cat in the household or with other HIV+ cats. But give him a comfortable spot where he can view the outdoors, maybe with a view of a bird feeder (kitty tv?) and play time with kitty dangling toys for exercise and he can be a healthy and happy friend. Come meet him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 285-7722. Adoption hours are 10 am to 6:30 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10am to 8;30 pm on Thursday-Saturday.

Dawson's $12 special December (ends 12-31-2012) adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
