The Oregon Humane Society's Cat of the day is Dragonfly (116942).  She is one of a kind!  This two year old striking young lady had a rough start to her short life, and is looking for a home where she can settle down and relax.  Dragonfly can be rather nervous in new situations or around new people, so she is going to need plenty of time to become familiarized with her new environment and family.  She has previously lived with other cats and is living with other cats at the Oregon Humane Society, and might do well with a feline buddy in her new home; however she does not have much experience with dogs, so she might do best in a dog-free home.  A family with older, more cat-experienced kids who can respect Dragonfly's need for space while she adjusts, would probably suit her best because of her shy nature.  But when she does feel comfortable, this lady can be quite affectionate. Could Dragonfly be your new best friend?  You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722.  Visiting hours are 9 amd to 7 pm Sunday - Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday - Saturday.  Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing.

Her adoption fee of $12 (through 1/31/2012) includes, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  Availability is subject to prior adoption.
