Cleopatra: Oregon Humane Sociey's Dog of the Day

Cleopatra: Oregon Humane Sociey's Dog of the Day

Cleopatra is as sweet as she is cute and is very tiny (just about 10lbs). She takes treats gently and will do best in a quieter home and because of her size do best with adults or older dog savvy children. Visit with her today at the Oregon Humane Society!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Cleopatra. She is a very sweet little Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She was quite overwhelmed when she first arrived at the Oregon Humane Society from the Merced County Animal Control through our Second Chance Program. However; she did quite well in a very few days at settling into a new temporary home with us. She will greet you with a wagging tail and if you have a treat to offer Cleopatra will take it very gently from your fingers. We have found that she is very happy to have a warm lap to cuddle up in and will stay there as long as possible. She will do best in a low traffic home that will provide a calm, consistent environment. To help you know more about her, medical consult is included prior to her adoption. Cleopatra is just the right size, weighing just under ten pounds, to go anyplace with you!

You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are Sun-Wed 10-7; Thurs-Sat 10-9. Adoption hours are Sun-Wed 10-6:30; Thurs-Sat-10-8:30. Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, 30 days free PetPlan health insurance and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Dogs are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club located at 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. If you want know to know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. Oregon Humane Society dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility. Cats are also available for adoption here; all cats live in "colony rooms" with their fellow felines. Adoption and viewing hours for both dogs and cats are 10-6 on Monday- Friday; and 10-4 on Saturday-Sunday.
