The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Clark Gable. He is a two year old Jack Russell Terrier/Whippet mix that is a handsome companion and a great playmate. He also is an active boy searching for an active home. It will be essential for Clark Gable to find a companion that can keep him mentally and physically stimulated. His enthusiasm and excitement for life is endearing but will need to be channeled into rigorous activities. Clark Gable would do best with someone with breed experience and can take on Clark Gable's enthusiasm and high energy. He is the fellow for you if you are looking for a running, hiking, or any outdoor activity companion. He will need continued basic training and socialization to keep him the best canine he can be. If you are looking for a dog that is always willing to take on that next adventure at a full sprint than Clark Gable may be partner you have been looking for. He came to us from Jefferson County Animal Control through the Second Chance Program. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Monday through Wednesday; and 10 -9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end 1 ½ hour prior to closing each day.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
