The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Chona Cali (shelter #130775). She is a sweet, loving and sensitive three year old Beagle mix. She takes a moment to warm up but once she is comfortable she will bond quickly. Chona Cali will need a home that can involve her in their daily activities and make her part of the gang. She would greatly benefit from a training class as she is eager to learn and will need daily mental stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. Her new home will need to be cat-free as she isn't compatible with them. You can meet Chona Cali at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday through Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
