The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Chewy! This handsome Balinese mix is ready to find a home with a nice comfortable couch and some great people to love him! He enjoys playing in water and chasing bugs. Chewy loves receiving affection and will rub against your leg when he wants more! Although he has been around dogs before, they have caused him stress in the past and he may want a home without them. Chewy is a little overweight (weighs 16 lbs) and would benefit from some extra playtime and a managed diet. He has been declawed so must be an indoors only kitty. Meet this handsome boy today and let him win over your heart!
As a senior cat he has a senior adoption fee of $12 which includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
Every Tuesday the Oregon Humane Society offers an adoption special for people age 60 and up. A select group of 15 pets will be available for adoption to seniors at no charge every Tuesday. All other pets will have their adoption fees reduced by $50 when they are adopted by individuals over 60 on Tuesday.
Beginning Sunday, July 7, adopt any adult cat or kitten and take home a second cat or kitten FREE! This offer is good for a limited time only. OHS is stocked with lots of kittens and adult cats who all need wonderful homes: please consider adopting a pair this July!
Dogs and kittens are also available at the Oregon Humane Society's Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club at 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. Visiting hours are 10- 6 Mon-Friday and 10-4 Sat/Sun.
