The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Charlie Kelly. He is a cute little, eight pound Maltese mix fellow who has been a bit slow to adjust to shelter life since he came here from the Humane Society of SW Washington as a part of our Second Chance program so we could assist him in finding a forever home. But Charlie is showing that he is an affectionate lap dog that wants to be your furry companion and will take all the spoiling you can give him. He is a very sweet older fellow who will enjoy going on walks with you in the neighborhood. We don’t know much about his background so would recommend a family with adults or older children because of his size and lack of history. You can meet with Charlie at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Hours for adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day. We are closed on New Year’s Day.

The special December (ends 12-31-2012) Home for the Holidays adoption fee of $12 includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
