Chachi is the Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day. This fellow is a nine month old Plott Hound that is working hard on learning grown-up manners. He needs someone who is looking to go on long walks, and allow him to do what he does best, sniff! He may never be completely trustworthy off leash. Chachi also enjoys having conversations with his people so he will tell you about his everything he has done that day. Chachi will need continued training and socialization so that he can continue his development into a proper adult dog. He will need plenty of exercise and activity so that he can have an outlet for all his energy. Chachi has not been around other dogs and can be picky when he meets a new dog so it would be best for him do be the only pet in the home. Chachi has also never been around children and due to his size and energy level he needs to go to a home with older-dog savvy children that can contribute to his training and development. A medical consultation is included prior to adoption. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-258-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption
