The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Cate Blanchett. She is a completely sweet two year old Spaniel/Dachshund that will take the first opportunity possible to come up close to you and crawl into your lap. She came to us from Merced Animal Control as a part of our Second Chance Program. There Cate was a stray and still seems to be missing her people and as she wants to be cuddled and loved by those who will sit close to her. She has the short legs and long body of a Doxie with the sweet face of a Spaniel. Cate is getting along well with a mellow small kennel mate but she seems to be most interested in people. She seems to be easy going, sweet, and gets along with most everyone. Cate walks nicely on a leash and will benefit from daily walks. Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, 30 days free PetPlan health insurance and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
You can meet with Cate at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat.
