The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Connie (111150). She is a ten month old Australian Cattledog mix. Connie has an adorably sweet expression with warm chocolate eyes that make you want to give her a hug. Her idea of the best way to spend the day is for a continuous game of fetch! As you can guess her favorite thing in the world is a nice fuzzy tennis ball so that she can chew on it as well as chase it across the yard. Since Connie is still a puppy, she will need a home that will further her training and socialization to the outside world. She loves to chase things and needs a home without cats. Connie is also not very fond of small dogs or children, so a home with larger dogs or teenagers would be best for her. If you have a resident canine a pet meet with Connie would be necessary prior to adoption. She originally came to us from the Washington County Animal Shelter through our Second Chance Program so that she may find her forever home, hopefully one full of tennis balls! A training consult is including in her adoption and you will be introduced to the many training classes at the Oregon Humane Society that will follow her development into a well trained and socialized member of your family. Come to the OHS to visit with Connie at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722).
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy vet exam and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption.
