The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Cody (121611) and he is a three year old Cocker Spaniel on a mission to find his forever home. He likes to go on walks and be around people, but sometimes he gets worried about new situations and new people. This means that his new person will need to be someone who has older, dog-savvy children and is willing to take things slowly with him, not forcing him into potentially overwhelming situations. Cody is not going to be Mr. Super Snuggles right off the bat, but with understanding, patience and love he will come out of his shell and becomd a great companion for you. Cody came to OHS through their Second Chance program from Baldwin Park LA Shelter. We aren't sure about his experience with other dogs, so if you have a resident canine you will need to have a pet meet prior to adoption. You can meet with Cody at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half prior to closing each day.
Cody's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
