The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Cha Cha (111254). She is a gentle six year old Australian Shepherd/Chow Chow mix looking for a quiet home where she can relax and get lots of love. She was brought in originally as a stray, and though we don't know much about her past, we do know that she is incredibly sweet and enjoys hiking! She may bond strongly with her owner and as a result be wary of strangers, so her new owner should continue training and socializing Cha Cha. There's no such thing as a dog too old to learn! Classes are offered at the Oregon Humane Society that would be perfectly suited to Cha Cha's sharp mind and would enriching her life and help her bond to her new owner and best friend. You can meet with her at the OHS, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. (503-285-7722) www.oregonhumane.org.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy vet exam and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption.
