Come meet Buster - he is full of fun and energy, but will be shy at first. He has recently been living outdoors and will need help remembering what it is to be an indoor dog. He loves car rides and long hikes!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Buster. He is a two year old German Shepherd mix that is full of energy and is extremely excited about what life has to offer him! He loves people and life so much that he doesn't know what to do with himself. Buster would greatly benefit from some basic manners classes to help him learn to not jump on people or pull on the leash. He will require an active owner that will be willing to take him on runs, long walks, or even hikes to help him use up all of his extra energy.  Buster will need a home with older children who can handle his energy level and not let him escape out of the front door. He is shy in new situations and will need someone who can help him adjust. He has been an outside only dog lately and will need time to remember how to be an inside guy. He loves to go in the car, loves swimming and loves to play. He cannot go to a home with cats or chickens and would be best as an only dog.  You can meet Buster at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday.  Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day.

Buster’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
