The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Booboo (shelter #140255). He is a sweet and loving one year Dachshund mix that came to us on a long trip from California to find a home. He can't wait to find his new best friend in life. This little man is looking for a place to call his own and a companion to spend lots of time with. He may be a bit shy at first but will warm up with lots of TLC, a warm lap, a nice soft bed and yummy treats. Booboo would enjoy going places with you and becoming familiar with his new surroundings with you by his side. Because of his small, low to the ground size, Booboo may do best in an adult only home, or one with older dog savvy children. If you have a resident dog you will need to have a pet meet prior to adoption. You can meet with Booboo at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Adoption hours are 10 to 8:30 on Thursday-Saturday: and 10 to 6:30 on Sunday-Wednesday.
The special December adoption fee of $50 (ends 12-31-2012), it includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
