The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Bobo. He is a shy and sensitive little three year old Chihuahua. If you are looking for a lap dog or couch buddy then Bobo may just be the one for you. He came from a very calm and quiet home and would do best if his new home was low traffic and calm, with adults only or children that are old enough to respect his space and give him time to come out of his shell. Bobo isn't perfect, he needs some work on his house training, and further socialization but if you have the time to work with him, he will pay you back with endless love. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are Sun-Wed 10-7; Thurs-Sat 10-9. Adoption hours are Sun-Wed 10-6:30; Thurs-Sat-10-8:30.
Bobo’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
Dogs are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club located at 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. Oregon Humane Society dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility. Cats are also available for adoption here; all cats live in "colony rooms" with their fellow felines. Viewing and adoption hours for both dogs and cats are Monday-Friday 10-6; Saturday-Sunday 10-4.
