Bluez is handsome, extremely high energy and needs someone who can handle his enthusiasm for life and work with him on training. The potential is there for a great canine citizen!

The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Bluez (shelter # 141068). He is at our Westside Adoption Center which is located inside Lexi Dog at 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland 503-245-4363. Bluez is a handsome fella two and half year old Australian Shepherd mix. He is more than just good looks however; he is full of life and ready to take on the world. Bluez can be overexcited when it comes to meeting new people or when he is in new places so he will need someone who is willing to work on basic manners and continuing socialization. Sometimes excitement just gets the better of him and his zest for life cannot be contained. We recommend older, mature, dog savvy children for Bluez so they can handle his enthusiasm and will be able to also work with him on training. If you lead an active life, have herding breed experience and can keep this man busy than maybe he could be the companion for you. You can meet with him at Westside Adoption Center inside Lexi Dog - visiting hours are 10 to 6 on Monday-Friday; and 10 to 4 on Saturday-Sunday.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
