The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Bernard (shelter #102793). He is a three year Lhasa Apso who just wants to be loved. He originally came to OHS from a breeder who had over 20 dogs! He was adopted a few months ago and returned because the children, who promised to take care of a dog, were not taking care of him. Bernard is a little shy at first, but will warm up quickly and really wants to bond to someone. He did very well in his previous home. He loves to go on walks and walkes very well on his leash. He lived with children and cats in his previous home. Once Bernard feels comfortable in his new home, his true personality will shine. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday.  Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day.

Bernard's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
