The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Bella. She is a beautiful five year old Kelpie who is looking to find a new home where she can be spoiled! Bella prefers women and is very slow to adjust to men. She has lived with another dog as well as cats and seemed to do ok with them, but she takes a while to get used to cats in the home. Bella does not like to share her possessions or food with other dogs in the home, so it might be best if she is the only dog in the home. Bella will thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with someone who is experienced with dogs. Kelpies tend to be high energy dogs and can be good jogging companions. A training consultation is included prior to her adoption. You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 and Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half prior to closing each day. The Oregon Humane Society has a special promotion from April 26-28 and the adoption fee for all cats and dogs one year of age and older is half price.
Bella’s adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
