The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Bear Blanc. With his snowy white coat and different colored eyes, Bear is a real show-stopper! He also has a fun personality to match his good looks - his previous owner describes him as energetic, goofy, and playful. Bear is taking a little extra time to settle in here, and will appreciate patience while he adjusts to a new home. Although he has lived with other cats before, he was too rough with them and seems stressed out by them here - we recommend he go to a home where he can rule the roost as the only kitty. You can meet him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.
Bear’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, 30 days of PetPlan health insurance and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption. The Oregon Humane Society’s Adoption Special of Two Cats for the adoption fee of one continues indefinitely.
Cats are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. Here they all live in "colony rooms" with their fellow felines. Dogs are available at this location also. They spend their days in a large group area with other dogs. Viewing and adoption hours for cats and dogs are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday.
