The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Bean. She is a four year old sweet and endearing little Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. Bean is an affectionate girl who loves to just sit on your lap and be loved. She can be a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. We would recommend that Bean find a home with older dog savvy kids who can respect her need to adjust. Bean lived with cats and dogs in her foster home and may do well with both in her forever home. If you are searching for a dog to have on the couch as you watch TV, curl up and take a nap with, stroll through the park with, and just be loved, than Bean may be a great choice for you. You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
