We don't know a lot about Basil as he came from LA, CA so we could help him find a forever home. But we do know that he loves people so he should adjust quickly to his new family. Can't you picture this fellow trotting through the neighborhood with you?

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Basil (shelter #138877). He loves to be around people and would like to find a home where he can be the center of attention. He is a sweet and loving one year old terrier that cant wait to find his new best friend in life. This little man is looking for a place to call his own and a companion to spend lots of time with. Basil would enjoy going places with you and becoming familiar with his new surroundings with you by his side. His handsome face and endearing personality will capture your heart and make you ask yourself how you ever lived without him. Basil came from the L.A. County Shelter through the Second Chance Program. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia, Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

During the month of December the Oregon Humane Society has a holiday special of End Petlessness and the adoption fee for any one year or older dog is $50. For Basil this includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption. Help BASIL GO HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
