The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Boomer (92946). He is a nine year old Labrador mix who is lookinig for his retirement home and lots of love and attention. Boomer is a typical Lab who loves to go for walks in the park, neighborhood on a trail in the Columbia Gorge (or actually anywhere), loves to play and loves to get attention. Because of his size he would do best in a home with older children who have learned to be respectful of their caine friends. Boomer has lived with cats in his previous home, but sometimes he gets a boost of energy and thinks it is fun to chase the cat and therefore will need a cat-free home. He loves to go for rides in the car, is a good boy who has a lot of love to give. He will need to be the only dog in the home as he does not like to share his people and toys with other dogs. He is affectionate and sweet. You can visit with Boomer at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722) www.oregonhumane.org. His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS IDtag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability subject to prior adoption.
