The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Bernard (88502). He is a sweet two and half year old schnauzer mix that has a lot of changes in his life. He needs of a patient owner who can provide for him a home where he is the ONLY pet. He prefers to be spoiled rotten with all the attention to himself. He also prefers not to share that attention with any human children, as he is very sensitive to any overhandling! Bernard will flourish with plenty of exercise, as well as mental stimulation in the form of training, toys, and nice long jogs or runs through varying outdoor environments with his people. He is a huge lover once he bonds with his people, but he is definitely a dog for a dog-savvy owner or one who has the time and patience for a young dog who does not quite know his boundaries or proper manners. A Training Consultation is included with his adoption to further educate you on Bernards specific training needs. Visit him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. (503-285-7722). His adoption fee includes spay/neuter microchip ID, collar and ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is dependent upon prior adoption.
