The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Bentley (98263).  He is currently living at our Westside Adoption Center at Lexi Dog on 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland, OR 97239 (503-245-4363).  You can meet with him there!  Bentley, is an eight year old beautiful Bluetick Coonhound.  He is looking for a home that has hound experience as he will be too much for a first-time hound owner.  Bentley is a very vocal guy and will not do well in an apartment setting.  He will  howl to tell you how his day went,, to say he wants to play, or to tell you that he is bored.  He will need daily exercise to ensure he is not bored and end up singing all day.  Bentley  does well with other dogs, but it is highly recommended that he meets all resident dogs before he goes home with them.  Bentley has a bad habit of stealing food whether it be on the counter, in the cabinet or on your plate.  He will need some training to ensure he doesn't steal all your food!  Bentley's  adoption comes with a training consultation to help you understand his behaviors and how to work with them.

Bentley's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  Availability is subject to prior adoption.
