The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Baby Bear (125471). She is a eight year old Norweigian Elkhound/Labrador mix who is looking forward to finding a lifelong home with people who love and respect her for who she is. Once Baby Bear is feeling safe and secure in her new home, she'll love you like no other. Getting to that point might require some patience and understanding on her new family's part. She needs an adult only home that will not push her when she is worried. Baby Bear is more of an introvert, one who bonds with her family and is content. She will need to be the only canine in my new home as she prefers to be the center of attention. You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day. Because I am one of Bear's Buddies.
