The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Babe (114520).  She is an active four year old Jack Russell Terrier mix sweetheart who enjoys exploring her surroundings and searching for something to snack on.  In fact, she is a little heavy and it is recommended that she take a break from the treats for a while; with plenty of exercise she should get down to a healthier weight soon.  The extra pounds certainly don't stop her from jumping up and begging for attention though!  Babe enjoys having doggy friends but her history with cats is unknown.  If her new parents have a resident canine friend a pet meet with Babe would be essential prior to adoption.   She has so far lived in an adult-only home but she doesn't mind older children as long as they can be gentle and kind to her.  You can meet with Babe at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-258-7722)  www.oregonhumane.org.

Babe's adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  Availability is subject to prior adoption.
