Atari (82243) is the Cat of the Day from the Oregon Humane Society.
My name is Atari and I am four months old. Right now, I am a bit overwhelmed by this big world and all the many sights and sounds that it has to offer. You see, I was born outside with no home to call my own and life was hard until I was captured by a nice lady who wanted me to learn how to be part of a family. She brought me to the shelter and now I am living with a foster family, learning all about what it means to be a spoiled indoor kitty. My foster Mom says that I am truly the sweetest boy ever and I do admit that despite my initial shyness I am easily won over by a gentle voice and some pets under my chin. I love to be held and petted; it makes me feel safe and I show my appreciation with a loud purr. I also really enjoy the company of other cats, as long as they are nice to me. I always try to get my kitty foster brother to play with me. In fact, I would love to find a home with another cat to show me around and make me feel more secure. I live with two dogs in my foster home and am learning to get used to them, but they are still a bit scary for me right now. I should not go to a home with very young children, as fast movements and loud voices make me go run and hide. If you are interested in finding out more about what a great boy I am, please email my foster Mom at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 503-285-7722 for more information. My adoption fee is $100, which includes a collar, ID tag, microchip, cat carrier, free vet examination, one month of pet health insurance, and plenty of information. All pets at the Oregon Humane Society are spayed or neutered and subject to prior adoption.
