The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Arrow (shelter #140827). He is a one year old Corgie/Shetland Sheepdog mix who is a sensitive fellow who hasn't quite gotten used to his new environment. He can be nervous in new situations and prefers to take things slow so he can feel more comfortable in what is happening around him. Once he adjusts, he may herd small children, cats or shoes. He can be mouthy when he is excited. Arrow will need a home with older, mature children who understand his herding and mouthing tendencies. He needs someone who is looking to go on long walks, and allow him to do what he does best, sniff! Arrow can be reactive to dogs while on leash and would benefit from the Reactive Rover classes at this shelter. You can meet with this fellow at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
