The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Amelie. She's so sweet, and a bit shy at first, but it's so worth taking the time to get to know her, promise! She is a sweet but shy lady who is looking for someone to love. Amelie is a one year old terrier mix who had a long ride from the Los Angeles area as a part of our Second Chance program that will give her a for-sure opportunity to find a new home. Amelie may not be the type of canine who comes running up to lick your face right off the bat, but give her time to get to know you and you will see her true colors blossom. It may take her a little time to adjust to her new environment, but with encouragement and patience she will fit right in. She is people oriented and will cuddle when picked once she gets to know you. Come meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end at 6:30 on Sunday-Wednesday, and at 8:30 on Thursday-Saturday.
Amelie’s adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
