The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Abigail (125864). She is an adorable, playful three month old American Pit Bull/Terrier mix puppy. She will need a home that can provide her with the time and energy it takes to raise a puppy so that she develops into a fantastic canine citizen. Puppies are incredibly cute but they need guidance, commitment and a whole lot of patience. Like all puppies, Abigail will need continued socialization, help with house-training and an outlet for her youthful energy. We highly recommend taking Abigail through a puppy class where she can start learning basic manners and meet other people and dogs. The Oregon Humane Society offers classes and are happy to help you with all of your training needs and questions. We also recommend crate-training your new puppy and have a crate rental program available also, please inquire at the front desk. If you truly are ready for a puppy then Abigail is ready for you! In addition to Abigail there are a number of other puppies available for adoption at this time. You can meet with Abigail or another puppy at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. www.oregonhumane.org Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.
Abigail's adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
