PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Rose City Classic Dog Show kicked off Thursday with some of the nation's finest among thousands of dogs at the Expo Center.
There are nearly 160 AKC breeds competing in agility, obedience trials and rallies.
Organizers said the best days for spectators to attend are Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
There will be around 4,000 dogs of all breeds competing and showing. Dog handlers also said it's a great place to check out if you're looking to find a purebred.
Vendors of all types will also showcase dog products, food and fun items for serious breeders and pet lovers.
The show is $10 per person and $20 per family. Weekend passes are also available.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Seniors 62 and over are free.
