EUGENE - A sacred water ceremony kicked off the Oregon Country Fair Friday morning outside of Veneta.
The 42nd annual fair features music, entertainment, crafts and food vendors, educational displays and "magical surprises," organizers say.
If you plan to go, make sure you have tickets ahead of time, they are not available for sale at the gate.
This year, headlining musical acts included Portland School of Rock, Everyone Orchestra and the March Fourth Marching Band.
The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., July 8, 9, 10. Sunday evening, organizers said they planned to rejoin the water from altars around the site and release it back to the earth.
Also - parking is available for $7 advance and $8 on site and shuttle buses from Eugene are encouraged.
