PORTLAND – A New York disc jockey seriously hurt when a taxicab plowed into the Jupiter Hotel last year is back at the turntables Friday night in Portland.
DJ Jonathan Toubin will be bringing his rare soul and rock and roll jams to the Holocene on SE Morrison.
The Radio Cab smashed all the way into the 40-year-old's room at the Jupiter Hotel on the morning of December 8, 2011. Medics and hotel employees had to lift the cab off of him. Investigators said the driver had suffered a medical episode that caused the crash.
Toubin was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital more than a month later to recover.
