Cheter (shelter #124462) is the Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day. He is a delightful older fellow who has an engaging, sweet personality. Chester needs a home where he can reside indoors 24/7 to keep him away from outdoor dangers since he is declawed. Chester is a curious kitty; when he's interested in what someone is doing he will meow inquisitively and loves gentle head rubs. Mr. Chester can have a spunky side - because of this he'd prefer a home with cat-savvy humans, especially older children that know how to read a unique cat's body language so that his new forever home can be peaceful. Chester would also enjoy being the king of his castle so he can be the only glorious pet in your home. His previous owners stated that he didn't get along with other cats in the past and that he has never been exposed to canines. On occasion he is an active guy that will probably enjoy playing with cat toys every now and then with you, but also will enjoy being a couch potato and having some quiet time to catnap.
