Incredibly, the day started with RAIN! Aghhhh! But, desert rain has a way of moving out quickly and that's exactly what it did.
We headed up to Dead Horse Point, which overlooks the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park, and was the location for the final scene in the movie Thelma and Louise.

Still good picture-taking weather. In fact I like getting out there at the end of a storm, The air clears. Literally, the rain settles the dust. And the light seems to become more crisp. Nothing like hanging out waiting for the weather above a 2,000 foot drop off.

The sun came out and I shot this video of Robyn as we hiked up Whale Rock in Canyonlands N.P. The clouds cleared by the wind was fierce! Spring-time in the desert!

We ended the day making shots at sunset in Arches National Park. It's a total playground for photography! More shots in the days ahead, but here's a preview:
