Grist.org has declared Portland the second-greenest city in the world, only behind Reykjavik, Iceland.
It's a short article; there's nothing ground-breaking for those of who live here, but it's great recognition.
Portland is the first U.S. city to enact a comprehensive plan to reduce CO2 emissions and has aggressively pushed green building initiatives. (Link)Vancouver, BC is #5, San Francisco is #8, and Seattle gets an honorable mention.
