What a great month to start the summer. The Blazers are changing every week and getting better every week. Signing Steve Blake is a huge move for the team. They have a talented young roster....but every successful team needs a good mix of young talent and veterans. Blake has been around for awhile and will be a steady influence on the other players on the court and in the locker room.

The British Open is this week. It's one of my favorite events of the year. I love the four Majors in both golf and tennis. Speaking of tennis, what a Wimbledon Championship.
Yes, I was up at 5:45am to watch the men's final. It was one of the best I've seen in a while. Roger Federer had just enough shots to beat Rafael Nadal. Both players were classy too. Federer admitted he was a bit lucky at times. That's great. One of the game's greats...and yet humble enough to realize there are breaks in the game.

Barry Bonds is getting testy. He hasn't had a hit in 20 at bats...his longest stretch in six years...and he was rude to the media after the game. Barry being Barry. I have to admit...now that he is getting closer to Aaron...it's fun to keep an eye on.

The Mariners are playing terrific baseball and they are going to be fun to watch all summer.

Yes, it's been a summer of fun...and there's a whole lot left. Enjoy!
