The date---October 24th, 2007---was circled on the calendar long ago. Only because it was supposed to be the first meeting of Oden v. Durant. But because of injuries, neither suited up. Still, there was enough energy in the Rose Garden Wednesday to forget about that for about 2.5 hours. Reigning Rookie of the Year Brandon Roy spearheaded a late comeback for the Blazers....dropping in 14 of his 22 in the final quarter as Portland downed Seattle, 109-107. LaMarcus Aldridge paced the way for the Blazers with a hefty 31 points and 13 boards. The guys are coming into their own....and the win was just what the doctor ordered with just one preseason game left before the regular season begins. Next game this Friday against Denver at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center in Redmond. That will be a pretty big deal for our friends over in Central Oregon.
