Good Night for Blazer fans. The Blazers win their home opener 93-90 over the Hornets.
It was an entertaining night even though many fans had hoped to see number one draft pick Greg Oden in action. The big fella took the microphone at center court and introduced his teammates. I know the Blazers want to keep Greg's morale up because of his season ending knee injury. Oden seemed to get the biggest ovation and i'm sure that felt great for Greg.
He needs to keep smilin...because he has many years of stardom ahead.

Martell Webster continues to show he is growing as a player. He played 40 minutes against New Orleans and had 20 pts on 8 of 14 shooting. Hopefully, he can keep it up for the whole season. Martell is a good guy and it's nice to see him getting results for his hard work.

Friday and Saturday will be interesting. The Grizzlies and Mavericks come to the Rose Garden. The Blazers must keep winning at home, because it's going to be rough on the road.

There's no place like home and a victory like the one over the Hornets could get the team going.
